Centria University of Applied Sciences in cooperation with the Association for Cooperation for Research and Development of Electronics in Finland (KOTEL ry) on 27th of May 2020 held an online training event related to issues with corrosion of electronic components. During the seminar, knowledgeable and experienced lecturers from the industry, Danfoss Ltd, presented the basics of corrosion and the impact of various environments on corrosion of printed circuit boards (PCB) and their assemblies. Also, real cases and techniques to investigate corrosion of electronics were revealed. Participants were introduced to the services of Test-4-SME network partner Centria and the overall network and encouraged to take contact when needed.
The subject of the seminar was very actual for the industry and it attracted 109 participants, most of them from the industry! The seminar was the first virtual event for most of the participants, however, it was not hindering from learning and vigorous discussion between participants.
