Laboratory staff training in Tartu

Within TEST-4-SME project, training of laboratory staff was held on 9-11 October 2019 in Tartu Observatory and University of Tartu (UT), Estonia. During the first day UT colleagues led training of good laboratory practice – calibration of equipment, traceability of measurements, customer interaction and quality management system in laboratory. Afternoon session was devoted for parallel training sessions – online survey development, uncertainty measurements and design of electronic products.

Practical training for laboratory staff was held on the second day, moderated by Sven Lilla from Tartu Science Park. Each TEST-4-SME network laboratory presented their services and got comments and recommendations for improving their presentations to be more client oriented. Training was followed by discussion on SME feedback and evaluation of services, moderated by Algirdas Galdikas, MET. Second day of training ended with visit to laboratories of UT Institute of Technology. In total 38 participants took part in the training.

During the project partners’ meeting on the third day project outputs were presented and follow-up ideas were discussed. On April 2020 laboratory staff training will be held in University of Latvia, Riga, Latvia.
